Seamless steel pipe are made from billets. When we describe a seamless steel pipe, we usually will mention its outer diameter, wall thickness, length, standard and steel grade. Seamless steel pipe can divide into two categories, one is hot rolled seamless steel pipe, the other is cold drawn steel pipe. Please kindly note that for outer diameter less than 2 inches, only cold drawn technique can forming the steel pipe.

Cooling method for seamless steel pipe

Cooling method plays an important role during the production process of   seamless steel pipe . As some defects may happen during the cooling process if we don’t take the rightful plans for it. So we should have a clear understanding for the cooling methods before the production of steel pipe. There are three main categories for cooling method: 1.
